In 2020 I, Denise graduated from ACC, with a degree in Communication Studies.
During my time at ACC, I received a prestigious scholarship that allowed me to study abroad in Romania for two courses in Psychology.
In addition, during my time at ACC, I assisted in editing a revision of the college
textbook, “Practicing Texas Politics, 17ed., in which I am recognized by my full name in the
"Acknowledgement" section.
For these reasons along with graduating with a 3.8 GPA, I received a
full ride scholarship with UT of Austin. I did this after being forced to drop out of school nearly 20
years prior. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with high honors, where I
earned a bachelor's degree in psychology, with a minor in social and behavioral sciences, and a
bachelor's in religious studies, with a minor in sociology. I'm currently taking a short break from
school to launch this much-needed business, but I do anticipate pursuing my Ph.D. in Psychology
soon.
In addition to my professional and academic endeavors, I'm also a proud mother of six
children. My oldest, who is 30, is my stepson, and I have kids ranging in age from 4 to 21. My
stepson has even made me a grandmother to two adorable babies!
I want to assure you that I have the necessary qualifications and certifications for this business. I
am certified in CANS and ANSA, and I am also a certified Medicaid provider recognized by the state
(NPI number below). Furthermore, I have signed a contract with Superior Health and received a
welcome letter with an effective date of September 2023, which means I am now able to charge
the state for the services we provide. I hope this gives you a better understanding of my
background and the expertise I bring to the table.
Joseph Ellington, my husband, and Co-President, also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Prior to that, he worked as a Life Coach and Personal Trainer. He legally adopted my three older
children in February 2021. He is passionate about helping the youth in our community and already
has many young souls who look up to him. Joseph is also certified with CANS and ANSA by the
state.
